Ron Fredericks writes: Blue Cube Toastmasters Club recently held an open house to attract new members: Blue Cube Makes a Movie. The agenda for the open house was to make a movie. I directed, produced, and published this movie as a demonstration of what Blue Cube Toastmasters Club is all about.
Watch this movie to:
Learn about Toastmasters International,
Demonstrate how Toastmasters’ self-help public speech and leadership training works, and
Show potential future guests and experienced Toastmasters what makes Blue Cube unique as a club worth visiting/joining.
Blue Cube Toastmasters Club presents: the movie
Background Notes
LectureMaker hosts the Blue Cube Toastmasters Club in its conference room. LectureMaker owns a professional video studio down the hall from its conference room, so it was only a matter of time before the club members got together to make a club movie.
Ron Fredericks writes: Blue Cube Toastmasters Club is having a very special open house. Let’s make a movie! The event is also a membership drive to attract guests and experienced Toastmasters to consider joining Blue Cube Toastmasters for its special relationship with LectureMaker’s video studio. Blue Cube club members can use up to one hour of LectureMaker’s video studio time (at LectureMaker’s desecration) to capture, produce, and publish video to the Internet and DVD. As a demonstration we plan to make a Toastmaster movie during this open house event – and you’re invited.
LectureMaker has donated several hours of video studio time to Blue Cube Toastmasters club in its ongoing support and hosting of the club meeting in LectureMaker’s conference room.

Ron Fredericks writes: Did you know that over 10 million people were affected by identity theft in 2006? Over $15 billion was stolen from individuals in just one year alone. Blue Cube Toastmasters club is fighting back with its 3-member presentation team. During the seminar you will learn more about identity theft and several practical steps you can take to avoid it.
Ron Fredericks writes: Screencasting is an easy way to document your activities on a computer. Its a digital recording of computer screen output, opten containing audio narration.
During a recent poll, I found very few people were aware of screencasting . Watch my online lecture on the subject to learn how to:
Express your ideas as a screencast on the web,
Embed them within documentation instead of screenshots mixed with tedious explanations, or
Use them as visual aids to enhance your next public lecture, as I have done here.
